This morning i woke up with a small blood clot in my mouth. what can it be? it wasn't a cheek or tongue bite just a small blood clot that i took out.

Small blood clot: It's hard to say over the internet without a medical history and clinical exam. It is most likely from some minute trauma somewhere in your mouth or perhaps an indication of some periodontal (gum) problem. Lots of other possibilities. When was your last dental exam?

Contact DDS: See DDS for a complete evaluation. There may be possible periodontal issues evident or you may need to be referred to your MD for a workup.

Gingivitis, See DDS: If you have blood clot or a bleeding gums, it may be a sign that you are at risk for or already have gum infection. Gingivitis is a serious problem, which should be checked by a dentist. Do not delay and call your DDS for exam.
