Get to the dentist: Have a dentist take a look and they can help diagnose the problem. In the meantime ibuprofen and warm salt water rinses can help control the pain some.

Get NSAIDs/Tylenol: Sometimes wisdom teeth are valuable asset when healthy and properly aligned, but more often, they are misaligned and require removal. The removal of wisdom teeth is one of the most common procedures at ages 15-24. Get NSAIDs or Tylenol (acetaminophen) OTC and see your dentist for evaluation and x-rays ASAP.

Now you know: Now you know why babies cry when teething...it hurts. This may be normal eruption, partial impact ion, infection, etc. Please see your Dentist for examination, differential diagnosis, and treatment plan. Depending on the cause of the pain, your Dentist has many treatment choices available. Until you see your Dentist try OTC analgesics exactly as directed on the package.

Phone call: You should call a local dentist or oral surgeon and have the tooth evaluated.. it might need to be extracted. OTC pain meds should help with the discomfort until you can be seen.
