Three days: is not a very long time. But then agin, not sure ow bad of a sprain it is. The best thing to do is keep it in the stabilizer and every so often take it out and move it around and see how it feels. If it feels alright its okay, if it doesn't, I would not play. This is where you have to use some common sense and judgement. If your unsure consult an orthopedist.
