Probably the best: reference is http://www.who.int/nutrition/topics/complementary_feeding/en/. Puree table foods that you feed your family. If you are vegetarian, ask your pediatrician for diet tips. Offer one new food/week, so you know if anything upsets his tummy. Offer water from a double-handled open-mouth cup that you hold now & he'll hold it at 12 mos. to drink a maximum of 16 oz./day of milk with meals.
