Just got done taken prednisone 50mg for 7 days how long does it stay in body and also is it okay to just have stopped was for possible atopic derm ?

TAPER: Prednisone doesn't stay in the body that long; however it can suppress the normal function of your adrenal glands, especially if given for a prolonged period. A 7 day course of prednisone isn't usually attributed with adrenal surpression. As long as you follow the directions given by your physician, you should be ok. Call your prescribing MD if you have concerns.
