Prednisone 40mgs a day was prescribed as a burst. i've done 5 days but it's been extended for another 3-5 days. is 7-10 days too long to take 40mgs daily and then stop suddenly? dr thinks it should be fine but not used to that?

Possibly OK but I am not so cavalier, and do taper over 10-14 days at least, just to be safe.
