Tongue deviation,: New or chronic ( your whole life)? if new of more concern. Could be GERD ( try Zantac), allergic reaction , peritonsillar abscess, or autoimmune process in nerve /brain ( sarcoid, lupus, Behcets) or infection lyme, possible EBV. The cough seems like mild aspiration which can lead to pneumonia. Would get it check out at urgent care/ doc or ER.
