Diabetes: The yeast is more likely to be from diabetes than from this medication. Yeast loves sugar. Diabetics often struggle with recurrent yeast infections. The short term solution is medication such as Fluconazole or vaginal preparations. The long term solution is optimizing your blood sugar control. At age 65 your doctor should evaluate you for atrophic vaginitis as well. A yeast culture should be done

Vaginal yeast: To my knowledge, canagliflozin (Invokana®) does not increase vaginal yeast infections. If diagnosis of recurrent yeast is correct, I suspect your diabetes is not in sufficiently good control. Estrogen lack could contribute. Whatever the cause, most yeast infections can be prevented by taking Diflucan (fluconazole) by mouth once a week. Discuss diabetes control, vaginal estrogen, and weekly Diflucan (fluconazole) w/ your MD.
