Normal?: If no pain, no foul odor or smell to your discharge, no fever or chills, then very likely normal. Continue to monitor and if any of the above symptoms occur or flow continues more than 2 weeks, see doctor for evaluation.

Tampon absorption: Tampons are inherently more efficient in absorbing fluids/blood until full then pads. The dark brown blood is old blood and the light flow is just how your periods are going these days normally.
