A member asked:

Can olanzapine help with chronic pain ? since i've started to come off the olanzapine my chronic leg pain has increased, not sure if it's coincidence.

It's possible: that your chonic leg pain if neuropathic in nature may feel improved with the combo of an SNRI ilke Effexor plus a low dose olanzapine. The later either works as antidepressant augmentator or a mood stabilizer. Drepresion worsens neuropathic pain , and pain pathways are serotonergic which are modulated by meds like venlafaxine and to a degree also by olanzapine.
