A member asked:

I've had my tubes removed and i'm pregnant. is there any chance this could be successful?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Pregnancy after a tubal ligation is extremely rare but not impossible. If you are pregnant and ultrasound has shown that the baby is in the uterus, then that fact that you've had a tubal ligation will not increase the pregnancy risk at all, and all is well. The ultrasound is very important though to make sure the pregnancy is in the uterus; an ectopic will also turn a pregnancy test positive.
