Yes very common: The separation between the sinuses and the orbit (the bony vault that contain the eye and it's structures) is very this. Thus any swelling or inflammation of your sinuses can be felt as pressure or pain in or around your eyes. If the problem persists you may need to see both an ENT doctor and ophthalmologist.
