No need to increase.: Effexor (venlafaxine) and Klonopin are synergistic in their therapeutic effects but not in their mechanism of action. Increasing Effexor (venlafaxine) may not help you. For the four days, I 'd reccomend to try alternative ways to help you relax and sleep. First of all avoid alcohol, try long walk after diner, a herbal- caffeine free -tea, like sleepy time, etc, See relaxation techniques online that you can do once in bed .

Inform your doctor: Even though Effexor (venlafaxine) and Klonopin both address anxiety symptoms , they have different mechanisms of action in the brain and target different receptors. It is NOT advisable to take more Effexor (venlafaxine) to compensate for the lack of Klonopin . Recommend contacting your doctor to discuss options best in your particular case.
