Dry skin: How old is your baby? You can always put a mild dressing on it - Aquaphor or Eucerin if you want to be fancy, a bit of petroleum jelly/Vaseline or A&D ointment otherwise. It is likely to subside in a few days.

Ask DR: See pediatrician or dermatologist. How old is the baby? Is the baby on these meds????? ITCH? SCRATCH??? For dry skin, soak in bath for a long time. Within a few minutes after the bath, rub in a CERAMIDE cream. Eucerin, Aveeno, (oatmeal) CeraVe, others, generics.

Mgt: Your baby may have eczema. This can usually be managed by using Eucerin cream a few times a day to the affected areas. I would suggest avoiding long baths and a moisturizer prior to bedtime. Watch for any signs of foods as a possible trigger.
