Probably not at all: If your symptoms are due to a virus which is most likely, antibiotics are probably not going to be helpful. One dose of an antibiotic, eg. Zithromax, is unlikely to help symptoms of a bacterial infection. In fact, taking one pill is likely to cause more harm than good.

Mgt: Short courses of Azithromycin can be used to treat some infections. If you being treated for bacterial sinusitis, a longer course is advised.
