ASTHMA: SOUNDS LIKE YOUR CHILD HAS ASTHMATIC BRONCHITIS AND NEEDS TO USE THE NEBULIZER EVERY 4-6 HOURS, DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS, SO THAT HE IS WELL HYDRATED, THE PREDNISONE WILL REDUCE THE INFLAMATION, PLEASE ASK YOUR DOC FOR AN ASTHMA ACTION PLAN AS WELL, MAYBE HE NEEDS T BE ON STEROID INHALER AND SINGULAIR (montelukast) AS WELL

The treatment: may be insufficient and she may need additonal medications like used for asthma. May need her antibiotic to be change to another kind depending the sputum culture result. Also a chest x-ray is in order. Call her pediatrician or seek a pediatrician's attention.
