Coated tongue?: Oral yeast infection (thrush) is not a likely consequence of a common cold, even a severe one. If you have a white coated tongue, it probably isn't thrush. Coated tongue is different and extremely common with almost any medical problem, including colds, changes in nutrition, and other causes. Not a worry; it will clear up on its own. But see your doctor if you remain concerned.
