Why does my toddler get oral thrush repeatedly?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See Peds/Derm: Oral thrush, frequently occurs in infants and toddlers. If candida infections become chronic or occur in the mouth of older children this may be a sign of an immune deficiency or disorder. Chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis can be a sign of an immune disorder of t cells as well as a rare genetic autoimmune syndrome known as autoimmune polyendocrinopathy syndrome type 1 (aps-1). See a pediatrician.
