Mgt: Please check his temperature, and I would advise having a visit with your PCP. The rash may be caused by a number of conditions, including an allergic reaction, a viral infection or local contact dermatitis. A virtual consult is also available.

Impossible to say: A rash can be as simple as a reaction to poison Ivy or early evidence of blood poisoning that may soon lead to death. A better description might help, but in the end it needs to be looked at to be sure. If he's playful and not bothered by it, it is likely nothing important.If he's acting sickly, take him in now.
