Torn meniscus 7 months ago. typically if i have surgery will i be allowed to walk on the affected leg right away? have osteoarthritis also.

No: Meniscal repairs in an osteoarthritic knee provide little or no long term benefit. You will likely need crutches for a short period if you do have the surgery.
