Safe but ineffective: You probably could do so, but it won't work. This isn't necessarily a yeast infection. But if it is, you can assume the yeast is in your vagina regardless of symptoms. Many vaginal yeast infections cause only external symptoms, i.e. no discharge. Either use Monistat as directed (intra-vaginal) or not at all. See answer: It's possible for Candida infection to just be on the vulva but it's much more common for it to be associated with a yeast vaginitis. Monistat can be used on the vulva safely.
