Slight irritation on inner vulva, not inside vagina, could yeast inf be only on outside & not in vagina, can i use monistat safely only on outer parts?

Safe but ineffective: You probably could do so, but it won't work. This isn't necessarily a yeast infection. But if it is, you can assume the yeast is in your vagina regardless of symptoms. Many vaginal yeast infections cause only external symptoms, i.e. no discharge. Either use Monistat as directed (intra-vaginal) or not at all. Best approach is to see your doctor for professional evaluation and advice. Good luck!

See answer: It's possible for Candida infection to just be on the vulva but it's much more common for it to be associated with a yeast vaginitis. Monistat can be used on the vulva safely.
