Risk management.: You are correct, there is a risk; in fact, sedation will affect your breathing, just not permanently. Good providers complete extensive training to manage those risks. With this type of procedure there is always risk and always a way to manage it. Talk with your provider or get a second opinion. In the end, you have a higher risk of being killed in a car accident on the way to your appointment.

Easy & safe: Easy and in most cases you will not be in a deep sedation but a moderate sedation. I would express my concerns though.
