Dry socket?: Yes a surgeon can tell a dry socket without removing sutures but migraines are not really associated with dry socket. I would return to your oral surgeon to have the extraction sites checked. There probably will be no charge for the visit as a post-op followup.

Yes: Dry sockets have identifiable signs and symptoms. The oral surgeon should be able to diagnose and treat.

Extraction\migraines: Post operative aftercare is part of the responsibility of the oral surgeon and usually there is no additional charge if it is related to the original procedure. I doubt the migraines are related to the extraction. See the surgeon if you have any problem in the area of the extraction and see a physician if necessary regarding the migraines.
