The only way: of eliminating this troublesome pain in the rear is by seeing a general surgeon who can treat it by ligature or removal of the offending vein!! Ask your PCP (Primary Care Provider) for a referral...in the meantime hot SITZ baths are transiently helpful as is "CAINE" containing rectal ointments! Some people swear that ANUSOL helps... Hope this helps..I "feel" for you ..Been there! Good Luck Dr Z
