Infection: You can be exposed but have a very small chance of not being infected, or you could have a false negative test. Be sure your provider knows your sexual partner is chlamydia positive.

He got it somewhere: If he is positive and you are not, he picked it up somewhere and has not given it to you so far. This could be luck or involve use of condoms.You must acquire this germ through sexual contact, and some have few if any symptoms with chlamydia.
