A member asked:

I believe i've had a stress fracture in my calcaneus bone for about 4 months. my podiatrist never x-rayed me. if i get one now, will it still show?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: If you had a true stress fracture and continue to have one the x-ray may show it. A much more sensitive test for a stress fracture not seen on radiographs would be an MRI. An MRI will also show other pathology
