Was there an injury?: A "sunken eye" would typically be caused by an injury that resulted in the orbital bones being broken. Was there an old injury of some sort? Car accident? If so, did you have a full medical evaluation afterwards? Any broken facial bones? If there was no previous injury, and really, even if you know the cause, you need to be checked out by an ophthalmologist.
