I had the mirena (levonorgestrel) iud that went missing. my obgyn said that it probably explelled out of my body. what test could i take to confirm this?

Lost and Found: Since your body has many 'hiding places" your MD should do an ultrasound to look for the "missing" IUD. If that is unsuccessful, the IUD is radiolucent and should show up on an X-ray if needed. If the vaginal search was negative and you did not notice expelling the IUD when using the restroom, the IUD is probably still inside your body cavity and needs to be "found".
