Moderation: Eat all things in moderation. It is often said that patients with thyroid disorders should not eat seaweed. This is because seaweed is rich in iodine and the iodine contained in seaweed can affect the thyroid gland in rare cases. The content varies widely with kelp containing the most.If your're eating that much better to cut back since you have no idea what your baseline thyroid function is .

Don't worry: Sea weed based snacks are rich in iodine and that will be stored in your thyroid. Once you thyroid is full, you will urinate out the excess. No worries unless the rare case of causing hyperthyroidism.
