Methylcobalamin or: mecobalamin is a form of vitamin B12 but is different from the usual form which is prescribed: cyanocobalamin. The cyanide is replaced by a methyl group. Most doctors have much less experience with mecobalamin but it certainly is used and approved. Perhaps there is something else in the preparation that you are reacting to. Don't inject any more and review reaction with your doctor. Good wishes:)
