Fungal infection: If it is a fungal infection then there are many good choices over the counter in your local pharmacy to start with. Terbinfine is an excellent choice. For pain take some Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin. If you are swelling you should seek local help as you can develop a bacterial secondary infection and may require a prescription for antibiotic
