Need a good exam: Nerve-like foot pain with normal EMG/NCS may be due to Morton's neuroma. If you had trauma to the foot before this started, followed by a period of swelling, redness, hypersensitivity, should also consider Complex Regional Pain. Any rash, fever, nausea or other general/systemic illness symptoms also raise the possibility of an arteritis.
