How to sleep with a sore throat?

Sore throat: It's no fun having a sore throat but unfortunately, most are caused by viruses and thus won't respond to antibiotics. In other words, you'll get better in a week if you take antibiotics and you'll get better in 7 days if you don't. You can try over-the-counter pain relievers to make it easier to get some rest. Perhaps even a numbing agent. See your Family Doc if symptoms persist or get worse.

A simple dose of: Advil or Tylenol (acetaminophen) could reduce your pain level so that you could fall asleep.A bit more aggressive approach would be Tylenol (acetaminophen) PM( pain relief + a mild sedative ).
