Easy...: There is a physiologic anemia of pregnancy, so you might be doing better than you think. Ask your doctor to change your pills to one that has better absorption. Make a concerted effort to eat more foods rich in iron such as red meat, Pork, Poultry, Seafood, Beans, Dark green leafy vegetables like spinach, Dried fruits like raisins and apricots and Iron-fortified cereals, breads and pastas.
