A member asked:

I'm recovering from a broken elbow (radial head &coronoid). does limited rom in elbow/shoulder present a problem during a cbe at an annual gyn exam?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The "clinical breast exam" should the same level of usefulness with or without the patient having a broken elbow. However, if there was a larger area of trauma, with swelling and injury into the armpit area where the tail end of the breast extends to, then one might wait until after healing that area, to do her annual breast exam.
