My 5 week old baby starts screaming whilst asleep for no reason what can it be?

Is this recurrent or: a one time occurrence? If it's recurrent and he/she seems fine once awake, there probably is not anything physically wrong. Otherwise, it could be acid reflux, gas or one of several other reasons. Check and make sure there's not a hair stuck around any of his/her finger/toes....and please take him/her to his doctor to be checked if this continues.
