Can chronic lithium toxicity (6+ months) at levels as high as 2.4 as well as renal impairment cause breathing problems? why? it is it long lasting?

Kidneys put water ou: out. And if it doesn't get out it builds up and eventually accumulates in the lungs causing the sensation of drowning. Bad. Conditiosn that are not treated often do not get better.
