What kind of blood tests confirm portal hypertension? what other tests? should i ask my doctor to conduct?

Your doctor knows: There are no specific blood tests for portal hypertension. If you have liver disease and your spleen is enlarged that usually indicates portal hypertension. Imaging studies are usually more useful than blood tests.
