Taking pills: For some medicines, it is okay to chew them to make them easier to swallow. They won't all taste that great, though. There are some medicines that are designed to chew before swallowing and can be taken by anyone. However, there are some medicines that have special coatings and many capsules that are best to swallow or they won't provide the desired benefits. Read the label, ask your pharmacy
