Ferrous sulfate: Although it is possible to have side effects from ferrous sulfate ingestion, in small amounts it will probably not hurt you. Ferrous sulfate is used to fortify foods and sometimes used to treat iron deficiency anemia. It should not be used on a regular basis unless prescribed by your physician. Good luck.
