I think it would be: safe to watch it. It is really pretty common. Petechiae is the name given to these dot-like red spots. Signs that you should seek further evaluation include more develop, they expand in size, they ulcerate or open up, they are painful or itchy. If this is just an isolated dot, nothing further needs to be done. Stay well:)
