A member asked:

Can a deep respitory cough. (sounds like croupish) be caused by eating a handful of bubbles in a bubble bath? (my son is 3 years old) . no other symptoms just cough.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Bubbles from a bubble bath cannot cause a croupy cough. croup is usually caused by a virus. There are spasmodic croupy coughs caused by allergies or asthma of childhood & latter are recurrent. Best wld be to take ur child to be evaluated and his pediatrician will guide u with proper advice regarding precautions and medications. If he is in any distress u shd have him seen right away.
