A member asked:

If you have regular bp and pulse readings - if cad develops will bp/p be affected so after taking a regular reading they know to invesigate further?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: CAD generally will not affect heart rate or blood pressure, so development of abnormal heart rate or blood pressure is not thought of as a clue that CAD has developed. Clues that CAD have developed are abnormal ECG, shortness of breath with exertion, chest pain / jaw pain / arm pain with exertion, fatigue with exertion.
