Does saturated fat mean the same thing as hydrogenated oil?

Different: Hydrogenation adds hydrogen ions to vegetable oil that is unsaturated & makes it more saturated. This is done to lengthen it’s shelf life but also causes the liquid to solidify. Saturated fats like butter, lard, fatback & solid shortening (are naturally in this solid form).
