A member asked:

Do all traditional flu shots (needle, not mist spray ) contain dead virus, or do clinics offer shots with a live virus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No LIVE injections: The flu shot injections have no live flu viruses. They usually contain particles purified from the 3 or 4 strains of flu viruses expected to hit the country in the winter. The particles in flu shots come from 2 of the type A strains, and 1 or 2 of the type B strains.
