Probabl: Hashimoto's is something your doctor can say you have or do not have. IT IS AN AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE that can effect thyroid function. People with Hashimoto's are at significant increased risk of other autoimmune diseases. If there is any concern the wrist pain is autoimmune a work-up should be done! Don't panic! Autoimmune risk low in general and increased risk of a low risk is still low!

Mum had type1 diabetes. Dad has latent autoimmune diabetes adults. My fasting blood glucose is high. A1c blood test is ok. I have no family history of type 2. Slim. Active. Healthy diet. I have hashimotos. Could this be autoimmune not type 2?

Male. Suffer from Hashimoto's. TSH is normal, no nodules on the thyroid but very vascularised (irritated), TPO is high 535 UI/mL. I'm concerned about Calcitonin level which is high 12.04 pg/mL. Is cancer possible?
