Possible GERD: You may have gastro-esophageal reflux which could lead to night and early morning shortness of breath. The reflux results in bronchospasm leading to shortness of breath/dry cough. Treating the reflux can lessen the symptoms. Try sleeping with your head more elevated and see if this lessens your symptoms. See your doctor for further evaluation and treatment for GERD. Good luck!!
