A pin prick: sensation in the chest is almost never a dangerous symptom. The bad things that cause chest pain (heart attack, ruptured aneurysm, blood clot to lung, cancer) do not feel like that. A normal ECG is nice, but it doesn't guarantee that a person's symptom isn't dangerous. Hope this helps. Check out my website http://CardioGauge.com for heart health education.

Hard to say.: Probably worth a chest x Ray. Costo chondritis? Costal nerve neuropathy? With the symptoms provided I probably would Not have started with an EKG. Consider seeing another physician.
