YES.: if you wash your hair shortly after applying Minoxidil, you might prevent some of it from reaching the hair follicle, thus reducing its effectiveness. Good question!

It isn't the hair: it is the scalp. And it's a pretty forgiving drug so it is very unlikely to matter.
