A member asked:

Is it safe to quit bystolic (nebivolol) 5 mg on it for a year new dr doesn't want me to take it thanks ?

Should be reduced: slowly ( tapered down ) to 2.5 mg ( 1/2 tab) for 1 week then 1/2 tab every other day, until done. Rapid discontinuation of a beta blocker like Bystolic (nebivolol) can cause rebound hypertension. Not sure of the logic since Bystolic (nebivolol) is an excellent medication unless you are having side effects.
